Aloe humilis, also known as Spider Aloe or Hedgehog Aloe, is a species native to South Africa. This species is low-growing in dense clusters. Each leaf features soft spines across the surface. The leaves can be either erect or curved, as this species is variable.

The etomology of "humilis" translates to "small, slight, low", which describes how this species keeps a smaller profile than others.

Aloe humilis flowers from late winter to spring. Red/orange tubular flowers grow from a stalk that can reach a height of about 14 inches! The flowers themselves can be about 2 inches long.
