This species of cactus experiences different life stages, but are variable, yet often featuring the lack of central spines in younger plants.
 
Fun Fact: Coryphantha Macromeris features a cortex with a lot of mucilaginous content. Some of the plant's skin can even be visibly or tangibly slimy!
