Coryphantha calipensis is a cactus native to the foothills of Mexico. This particular species has a more pineapple appearence, which is a unique feature among Coryphanthas.
This species also has a distinct young and adult forms, in which only radial spines are present in its youth, and will develop longer tubercles and large center spines once the plant enters adulthood.
This is a summer-growing species with large yellow flowers. It fully matures and reaches it's signature look in about 8 to 12 years.
