Thelocactus Rinconensis
- Plants are 1 gallon sized, bare-rooted for shipping -
Thelocactus rinconensis subs. nidulans is also known by the common name of bird's nest cactus. The stem features clustered and long spines arranged in such a way that it resembles a bird's nest.
Will grow much faster with the use of low nitrogen fertilizer in the spring and summer.
It is recommended to re-pot every 2 years, use a pot with good drainage, and water carefully only when the surrounding terrain is dry, in order to keep the plant compact and avoid root rot.
Avoid humidity in the winter months and water sparingly from March to October. They can be partially resistant to frost if kept dry leading up to, and during, winter.
